well... i'm not so sure... hmm... in her article she was saying that gals putting on make-up to make them look better is not a mistake and nevertheless... she feels that guys who says that they prefer gals without make-up is practically a stupid thing to say... and also some of her comments on the old sayings: "being natural is being beautiful".....her article was pretty long so i scanned through... but of cos... i read some of the comments that other people had made... some agreed with her and some don't.
MAN-MADE BEAUTY OR NATURAL BEAUTY?
Thats the question that came up to my mind immediately after reading her article.... haha... well... for one thing... i'm ain't born with a flawless and fair complexion.. and instead i have pimple breakouts often... so yup.. i kinda got into the habit of putting on make-up to make myself look better... low self esteem or vain... you can say wateva you want... since i feel that its not a mistake and that its a kind of respect that i have for myself... what i'm doing is to make myself look better... when u look better, u feel better... thats the point....
abt the saying..."being natural is being beauty" part... hmm... wat i have in mind is... do those people who said that.. really meant wat they say?
i mean its like there are always superficial people who judges the books by its cover... for an instance... when i'm choosing a new comic to read... first thing that i could see would be its cover! i would look at the characters involve... are they drawn nicely? whats the title and etc etc.... so the logic applies... i know its a lame example but it true isn't it? So how would u judge someone that u never known before? by the looks first right? and how do people judge looks? pretty or plain? normally... gals look plain without make-up and thats me for an instance... but by using some brushes and cosmetics... i don't look pretty but at least i look presentable... at least with all those flaws, more or less concealed...and i certainly feel that to superficial people.... being natural doesn't equates to beauty.
So i kinda feel that its an irony to apply "being natural is being beautiful" here... indeed... everyone has different preferences... some prefer to have man-made beauty and some with natural beauty. I prefer the one that makes me feel better and put me in a different light... of cos... not man-made beauty all the time... haha... i definately don't put make-up when i'm at home or if i'm going anywhere near my house... haha.. depends on my mood lah!
Beauty is definately not skin deep... there is also inner beauty and that lies with your character, charisma, personality, esteem, etc. These areas are important areas that needed to be developed and taken note as well!
Hmm..also the part on guys prefering gals not putting on make-up...i dun feel its true cos i'm sure guys feel good as well if someone else compliments your gal for being pretty right? haha... but for guys who says that... make absolute sure that you mean it! don't go teasing gals for being plain or commenting abt her... ITS NOT NICE AND NOT A GENTLEMAN THING TO DO!
